This month, we are launching our new product range additions for 2016. IFP Group is forever looking at ways to expand its range, source fresh solutions to help you do business, and offer an alternative supply of familiar storage and packing products.

Our latest catalogue is packed with new items which have been either asked for by new or existing customers, or have been created by our in-house design and manufacturing team to help provide a more comprehensive one-stop shop for your material handling and storage solutions.

New Product Range Additions are influenced by our Customers

IFP’s business development expert Teresa Fuller says many of the new products are driven by requests from customers and IFP’s commitment to offering great customer service.

We listen to our customers and if we are asked for a certain product then we make sure we continue to provide the service they have come to expect and either manufacture or import that product so that it is available from us for them,” Teresa says.

New Product Range Catalogue

We use a range of methods for developing our New Product Range:

  1. Identifying existing products in the market and using our international network of suppliers to source and bring these products into the New Zealand market.
  2. Responding to requests from our customers to include specific tried-and-tested products in our catalogue so they can source all their packaging, storage and handling products from one supplier.
  3. Working alongside existing or new customers to develop, design and manufacture products which are custom-designed to their business’s requirements.
  4. Working alongside existing or new industries to develop, design and manufacture products which are suitable for specific purposes and conform to industry-specific legislation.

A great example of this is our new 66-litre orange vented crate which is manufactured from food grade, UV stabilised high density polyethylene, is recyclable, and is sturdy enough to withstand the freezer and high-impact conditions of New Zealand’s fishing industry.

We had been asked for this product by a number of existing customers, who previously had been purchasing elsewhere,” Teresa says. “They are buying other products from us and want to be able to source these too. “So now we have this new crate available to our existing customers and new customers. These are primarily used in the commercial fishing industry for crayfish and crabs. They particularly like to use these in orange which has long been associated with this crate and that industry. They do not like to use black as this heats up in the sun and ruins the fresh catch of the day.”

As with so many of IFP Group’s products, there are also plenty of alternative uses for the orange vented crates. “As these are sturdy units they are also used for fresh produce and storage in the materials handling industry,” Teresa says.

The new catalogue has also been updated to include new product range additions such as bread crates, pastry trays and 13, 22 and 32-litre stackers – all of which have been sourced for customers before but which haven’t until now been advertised as a standard offer for our customers.

As you’d expect from IFP Group, the new catalogue also includes fresh designs and products from our own manufacturing plant: and the main new arrivals are a 1 and 2-litre pail design, which has been in development for the past six months and has just rolled off the production line.

These New Zealand-made, food grade pails have tamper-evident seals and are therefore perfect for retail products in the food processing and manufacturing industries, but certainly not limited to that particular industry as they are also used for many other retail packed products. Because they are made by IFP Group, you can rely on the product and supply to be on time.

We don’t have huge minimum order requirements – and of course we’ll offer a more personalised service,” Teresa says.

“We’re ready for business, so if you want it we’ll get it to you.”

The new catalogue will be updated and ready on the website from March 31.
